My Background

I am a psychoanalyst and university researcher with over fifteen years of international experience. My academic training took place at the Écoles Normales Supérieures in Paris and Lyon with a PhD in philosophy from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. Currently, I teach and conduct research at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, where I have produced numerous scientific publications. My analytical training was refined at the Association des psychanalystes Européens, which values the integration of diverse analytical methodologies, thus enriching my psychoanalytic practice.

My Approach

My analytical approach, enriched by the interdisciplinary nature of my training, goes beyond merely categorizing and pathologizing personal experiences. Drawing on the teachings of psychoanalysts such as Jung and Hillman, I focus on the complexity of the human soul and its symbolic horizon. I avoid purely psychopathological approaches that risk reducing the patient to a label, isolating them from their social and environmental contexts. It is crucial to analyze how phenomena such as anxiety, work-related stress, and burnout are interconnected with current socio-economic dynamics. In an era of constant connections, we find ourselves paradoxically more isolated than ever from others, our bodies, and nature. My psychoanalytic method integrates various disciplines to help individuals understand and position themselves within their contexts, transforming challenges and shadowy areas into gateways for a profound journey within, from which to emerge transformed.
